What does the house placement and sign of Pluto in natal chart reveal about a person and their life?

how the planets aspecting Pluto and the sign it is in can also show how it will play a part in their life and what Pluto really symbolizes overall and its representation.?

and please explain and describe the meaning when this planet is in retrograde at time of birth, and if this is same for any other planet in retrograde in chart.

thanks for your answers!

Pluto’s sign colors something that we’re going to be quite obsessed with. Often something that we place on such a high pedestal, to bring about an experience of what the ancients deemed "Hubris", in which, if you do not temper yourself, the ‘gods’ will knock you down.

Take for example, Pluto in Cancer, during the world wars. Cancer = homeland, country, roots, family. In fighting so hard for these things, they themselves were destroyed.

Pluto in Leo. Leo likes to play. The baby boomers have all kinds of places to play. The built the world into a playground. Then they’ll buy R.V.’s and go ‘play’ some more. Unfortunately, this gave rise to big automobiles, theme parks, and quite a bit of pollution.

You can look at many recent years just like that.

Each person will be subtlely attuned to the frequencies of Pluto in their chart. They get swept into the mass movements of their time, inevitably.

Retrograde has the planet closer to the earth, and it’s presence will be more strongly felt.

If someone were to call Pluto a terrestrial planet, how would they be able to justify that claim?

In other words, what characteristics would Pluto have that would be similar to the terrestrial planets?

Most recent news is Pluto is not a planet at all.

Pluto was reclassified into a new category of dwarf planets on August 24, 2006, by some 2,500 astronomers from 75 nations, meeting as the International Astronomical Union.

They demoted the small planet leaving only eight major planets in the Solar System – Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

The IAU definition covers planets and other Solar System bodies, except satellites:
Planet is a celestial body that:
is in orbit around the Sun,
has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and

has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit.

Dwarf planet is a celestial body that
is in orbit around the Sun,
has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape,
has not cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit, and
is not a satellite.

Small Solar System Bodies are all other objects, except satellites, orbiting the Sun. The category includes most of the Solar System asteroids, most Trans-Neptunian Objects, comets, and other small bodies.

Pluto was defined as a dwarf planet and recognized as the prototype of a new category of Trans-Neptunian Objects. Pluto circles the Sun in an oblong orbit overlapping the orbit of Neptune’s.

Thanks for asking.

How are Scorpios affected by pluto no longer being a planet?

Since their ruling planet is pluto and it is no longer a planet how does that affect the zodiac. Just wondering…

"However, Pluto’s "reclassification" has in no way reduced its astrological significance to astrologers who had previously considered Pluto important and still do."

If Pluto in the 3rd house applies force into communication, does the same apply when the planet is retrograde?

I have Pluto in Scorpio but the planet is retrograde which means that it works more on an inner level. Although, how powerful can it possibly be when its energy cannot be externalized? Does Pluto hold the same kind of force in here?

Googling doesn’t bring much info, lol.

So…I’m going to attempt a hypothesis, because this is a very interesting question. However, I do not know you from ‘Joe the Plumber’ or other aspects of your chart, so, I could be completely of base, and I don’t mean any offense, if that’s the case.

Retrogrades, in all signs…are kind of like, when you vacuum…you push forward on the carpet and suck up dirt…then you pull the vacuum back again in the same spot, which generally seems to pick up more dirt, and ensures the cleanliness.

Like, for example, I’ve studied a lot of Saturn, because I’m a Capricorn…Saturn is a planet of Karma, and a lot of astrologers interpret it as rather dreary. It puts force on your life, constantly testing the foundation. Most Capricorns, anytime they want to achieve a goal, or something out of their lives, they inevitably meet it with hardship and setbacks. It’s just the energy that Saturn brings to their lives. Testing you for whether or not you really want it. Nothing is out of bounds to be tested by Saturn…even the motives of your desires. However, once you do what is necessary…you move forward.

If Saturn is in retrograde, often times a person can become stuck in a cycle they can’t get out of. Like, falling in love with an abusive partner, or being obsessed with football, having a passion that will not subside…but sadly being born with two bum knees. You have all of the desire to move forward…but you never can.

It’s difficult. It’s that vacuum coming back around, to make sure everything is exactly as it should be…and in that respect, retrogrades don’t weaken the planet…they intensify the planet, and kind of weaken our power to control it, in one respect (I’m trying not to be fatalistic, that’s important)…however, that does depend on the planet, Saturn is considered one of the strongest forces, so it may not be quite the same for others.

Each planet is supposed to be teaching us lessons…it’s supposed to be contributing to us. When a planet is in retrograde, the contribution becomes more difficult to materialize.

Judging from what I understand about Pluto, and what I understand about retrogrades, and what I understand about the 3rd house, and Gemini and Mercury and Scorpio…

First, I would look at it in a cut and dry manner

You have Pluto in the 3rd house, but Pluto on it’s own wouldn’t necessary apply FORCE to communication, so much as extremely highlight the subtleties of communication, and things that are generally easier to overlook.

For example, the slight change in a persons voice may often be noticed by you, and you may have a keen awareness of your own words, and how to properly use them for a said effect.

However, your Pluto is in Scorpio, so there is the added flair from Mars, plus the Pluto energy being expanded.

I would say, possibly, that you may attempt to have deep connections with people, through communication, but find that for one reason or another, that is inhibited. You can understand what they’re saying, sure. But, Pluto is about breathing new light into a situation…and although you understand what’s going on, you may find it difficult to to come to solid conclusions verbally. Not necessarily by word of mouth, but your intellect in general.

A person with Pluto in Scorpio, in the their 3rd house of communication, would probably be a great combination of intellect and insight…to a higher degree than most, they may have the ability to quickly analyze a situation, and see the underlying meaning. Maybe, someone who would take interest in Poetry, for example.

With Pluto in retrograde in Scorpio, in their 3rd house of Communication…I think there might be a possibility of over analyzing information. Pluto, is supposed to be bringing death yes, but because only when something dies, there can be new light. I think there may be a possibility for stagnation intellectually if Pluto is in retrograde. There may be intense arguments, without any resolution. There can be broken promises as well.

This might be completely inappropriate, but I think it’s a great example, for Pluto in retrograde with Scorpio… it’s like the sex you’ve been waiting for all your life, without an orgasm…but phone sex, maybe.

How people react when Pluto is no longer a planet earth?

Especially kids reaction ? Why some of them are upset ? Do you think it will change the mind of the people to reconsider that pluto is not a planet earth anymore ? Why ? It’s up setting the changes?

I’m an amateur astronomer and often speak to people about such things, and I’ve never–never–seen or heard of anyone being remotely upset about it. When anyone to my knowledge hears of this from someone with knowledge of what happened, they understand that it was a simple re-definition of terms. Nothing more. It’s simply not true that "Pluto is no longer a planet." Pluto is no longer classed as a planet. Pluto is no longer called a planet. Whatever. But it’s still there, still orbiting, and it’s still cold as heck.

What is the difference between these Pluto transits?

Pluto crossing (conjunct) your Ascendant, and Pluto opposition your Ascendant?

What effects would there be in each case? Please give as much information as possible. Thanks.

Pluto crossing your ascendant can make you a new person. You may become domineering. If you try to hide this, you could be the one being pushed around. As Pluto goes thru’ your Ascendant you’ll become far more aware of things going on around you, more sensitive to people.
The opposition is more about relationships, power struggles may result and mind games to put it mildly.

How many years does it take to get to Pluto the planet?

I as just wondering how long does it take to get to pluto. My dad is not sure and we`ve already searched the web but it didn`t come up with anything!

It depends on how fast you’re traveling. NASA sent out their "New Horizons" probe in 2006, and it’s going to pass by Pluto in 2015. It is currently traveling at about 12 miles per second.
