What is the ratio of the sunlight intensity reaching Uranus compared with the sunlight intensity on Earth?

What is the ratio of the sunlight intensity reaching Uranus compared with the sunlight intensity reaching Earth? (On average, Uranus’s distance from the Sun is 19 times that of Earth’s)

Use inverse square law.

Since Uranus is 19 times farther from the sun than Earth you do:
19^2= 361
inverse of 361= 1/361<—– Uranus receives 1/361 of the sunlight intensity Earth receives.
the ratio is 1:361

what kinds of things does Uranus transiting opposite Pluto bring? and how big of a transit is this?

please explain and describe the energies involved with this transit and how they represent?

and if uranus is in 5th and pluto is in 11th..what this means?

please explain what you can.

thanks for your answers!

Uranus opposite Pluto in 11th means several things: unexpected changes, tendency to dominate, profound personal improvement, and compulsive behavior, all relating to friends and associations.

Uranus in 5th means awakened spirit, artistic genius, pride in creativity, rebellion against parents, exciting love affairs, unusual partners.

It could bring about significant change in your life, particularly in your associations, and if you are artistic.

Are Saturn, Chiron and Uranus the most important planets in the birth chart?

Mercury-Jupiter move too fast for long lasting effects on a persons mind frame, and their effect is often somewhat benign.

Neptune and Pluto move too slow to cause a cyclical effect on our lives…we will never experience a Neptune/Pluto return for instance.

Saturn/Uranus/Chiron on the other hand, are just right. Judging from this, what could that say about personality, and those 3 planets.

Thanks for any information.

The planets’ significance descend just as the planets do. The most important planet in one’s chart is the Sun, followed by the Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. The outer planets and astroids (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron, etc.), while also significant, are of secondary importance.

One must also look into their chart ruler, indicated by one’s Ascendant. If the rising is Libra (ruled by Venus), look at the Venus placement. This is enhanced and has a major effect on a person.

Hope this helps.

Why is the planet Uranus has a nearly horizontal axis?

The planet Uranus has a nearly horizontal axis (unlike the other planets of the solar system that have the vertical axis) and the planet Venus has a rotation to the counter clock on the contrary all the others. Why?

Nobody really knows why. One theory is that it was "whacked" at sometime during the early formation of the solar system. It would have had to be a quite large object. These large collisions would have been fairly common in the early solar system. Earth’s moon is thought to have ben created by a Mars – sized object colliding with the proto- Earth bilions of years ago.

Even Uranus’ moons orbit the planet perpendicularly to the ecliptic plane. Some think that Pluto may have been a moon of Uranus that was flung out of its orbit around Uranus in this collision or another. Uranus is so far away that it’s difficult to gather much information about it.

The "whack" theory is the most plausible – for me at least.

If Uranus and Neptune are planets but made of Hydrogen, then why is the Sun considered a star?

I’m doing my science homework, and I was wondering-why is the Sun a star, but Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter, etc considered planets if they’re made of the same stuff? What’s the difference?

The gas giant planets are not massive enough to create the heat at their core to support the nuclear fusion which occurs in stars. They don’t "shine" with their own light.

Holst- Uranus, the Magician- The Planets Suite

English composer Gustav Holst composed The Planets between 1914 and 1916. The Birmingham premiere of the suite took place in 1918, fifteen years before Pluto was discovered. Though the Planets became by far the most popular work of Holst’s and one of the most known pieces by an English-born composer, Holst did not consider the piece one of his finest. Partially because of this, he never wrote an eighth movement, though unexpectedly the IAU relegated Pluto from its status as planet proper in 2006.
